Launched A New Accessibility Portal "AccSell"
Recently, together with Makoto Ueki of Infoaxia and Izumi Yamamoto of #fc0, I launched a new accessibility portal site, AccSell.
Our aim is to create a Web site that provides comprehensive information on ICT accessibility, as there is no such a site in Japan to my knowledge today. I believe this is essential in order to promote accessibility farther in Japan, and there are people, developers, researchers, and users (primarily those with disability) who are eager to get accessibility related information.
The goal of this site is to create a place where people in the accessibility community in Japan can find information they are looking for, and as a result, a place where people in the accessibility community gather.
The site provides free podcast programs on accessibility, a paid biweekly mail-magazine, and accessibility related newsclips. (Though, as the site is for Japanese community, all the content is in Japanese only.)
Please visit the site if you are interested in accessibility, and if you read Japanese.
